About This Symposium
- The 2017 Symposium, which will take place on Saturday, April 1, aims to bring together experts from across different fields who grapple with the challenges of dementia, as well as Harvard students, caregivers, and organizations with ties to Alzheimer’s, to engage in open, productive dialogue and activities around this complex issue.
- The Symposium promotes a greater awareness of the illness among all age groups, as well as encourages active participation throughout our community.
- An emphasis is placed on combating the social isolation of those with dementia through inter-generational connections and the arts.
- Perspectives from fields such as advocacy, research, medicine, art and music therapy, as well as personal perspectives, are represented to provide the community with a basis for responding to Alzheimer’s disease.
